A good paper is Canson Mi Tients..but use the smooth side for CP. The rough side has a very defined "chicken wire" pattern. ( some people love that...I and many others find it annoying.)
This paper is made originally for pastels, but CP artists like too.
And in comes in 50 plus colors!
I don't know if Rising Stonehenge comes in grey but you could tone a white piece and use that...it's THE paper for CP, in my humble opinion.

i did this in oil pastel and anthor watercolor over coloered pencil. they both look cool but seem to like the watercolor over coloered pencil one more
