I have a question on bitmap images. I see many bitmap images that appear on the page but I cannot upload a bitmap in my posts. Also My jpg images appear as bitmaps in the album when I enlarge them.
Some of the people's drawings were in JPG format other in BMP and other in Quick time giving me a real hard time to post them on the main page in one of my challenges. After I did the conversion of bitmap and QTime to JPG the server refused to upload them in the main post; an error came telling me I exceeded the space aloted even if the posts tell you that you can attach ilimited MB.
What is this new behavior of the software?
In the
June challenge I had a huge amount of MB of images in the main post and they were not rejected.

I'm not sure how to answer your question, but I can relate. None, absolutely none, of my images have been uploaded. The reason given is that that are too large. All my images are too large? I don't think so. How small do they have to be. I like this website, but unless I figure out how to upload images, I'll move on.

Reved, for the albums in the public gallery I usually set my size 700x500 pixels.THis works for the gallery but when it comes to pictures some portrait photos might seem too small for detail of an eye, for instance.
Try using blog size images which is appr. 640x480 pixels. It's a good size.It also depends of your image editor if it can compress a file satisfactorily.

Elena, guess what? I tried uploading some sketches and va-laa, they posted without any resizing! What's up with that? Anyway, I posted a few others, too (I just learned how to resize them just in case)...you may want to check them out and let me know what you think, I need all the critique I can get!
