Actually a pretty good likeness. Most of the proportions are very (very) accurate, however the iris of the eyes seem a little too big. His right eye looks a little upturned. You may want in increase your shading values a little, but all in all not a bad drawing.

Thanks, I did use a grid and when I finished I put them on top of each other and it did match. Except the irises. i think I have to work on eyes more and shading. Thanks again

that likeness is there..but i felt like the ears are smaller compared to the original and the image overall looks flat..

thinking the head in terms of planes like front face one plane, side face another and each of the plane having some curvature will help i think...the brow, eyes, lips evthing curves towards back..if you observe from bottom of the head you can see the curvature..bringing this in the drawing can bring the 3dimentional feel in lines itself..then shading brings the life out of it...studing the skull also help a lot..jst a thought..i m also trying to clear these things in my drawing...hope that does help..

Thanks again everyone for your reply

chomaee,
Good job on this...it looks like him smile.gif Just a few things for future reference.
I would use a wider range of values in this drawing to create more form and shape...take a look at his irises they are to large for his eyes...his left eye is slanted more in your drawing than the reference...also the upper lip is to full. these are small things that would improve the likeness...but it's always the small things that get you. Like I said before...Good job on this and I can't wait to see how you progress.

Thanks Lauras, I did finish it and changed some of the things that were suggested especially the eyes. I just didn't take a photo of it before I gave it to a tiger woods fan.
