Click to view attachmentI completed this portrait today and I'm fairly O.K with the results....
However,I strongly feel that there is scope for improvement.
So send me your highly valuable suggestions and critiques.........

Equipments used:

1.Fabriano Accademia paper
2.Pencils:2H,2B,4B,6B(Staedler Mars Lumograph & Cretacolor Fine Art Graphite)
3.0.5mm mechanical pencil
4.Derwent charcoal pencil
6.Normal eraser(I tried,but couldn't get hold of a kneadable eraser!!!!!!)

Thank you all in advance
Slaine
i love the drawing its very impressive

only thing my eye picks out is the lining below his bottom lip looks to sharp

The textures are great -- very nice shading, and great use of values.

There seem to be some problems with the large shapes; the shape of the head itself seems somewhat distorted . Did you draw this with the paper flat on a table? That can make it difficult to see; you'll get better results on a slanted drafting board or on a drawing board (or "clipboard") on your lap.

Yeah.I actually did it placing on a drawing board and then resting it flat on my computer table.(The computer had the reference picture. My printer is not working!!!!!!)

In addition to what you told,I think the odd shape of the head also has something to do with my awkward camera angle!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for your suggestion.I am still working on my perspective, proportions and things like that!!!!!! smile.gif
