Just for fun I went through the drawing lessons to find something interesting. I found a lesson on a spruce tree and I loved the lesson. I have a whole new outlook on drawing trees now.

I don't know if it really looks like a spruce tree or a dead one but either way I think it came out OK. smile.gif

I took a good look at the tree ...now I am no expert on trees lol and one with so many limbs coming off from it would be a challenge for me in a big way .
I also looked at the spruce tree lesson ...now if I am looking at the right one you put a lean on your tree and I like that ...I think the darks and lights are working well together and seem consistant to my eyes .. I seen no spots that stood out and said fix me .
others will come and be able to give you more solid advice ..myself and I did try to find something wrong .. seen nothing at all wrong ...I wonder if one ever puts work in the crique thread that just simply is fine as is . smile.gif

Thanks Kim, I look at and it looks dead. I think I am thinking of how a pine tree would look, maybe fuller and more branches, I don't know. I like it though wink.gif

well there weren't needles in the lesson, it really was just a lot of squirkling. I'll try to post a bigger pic.

From what I remember, Brenda said in the lesson that this was a tree from her imagination, not necessarily any particular type. I think you did great with it, Chris. It has a 3-dimensional quality to it, with the branches going every which way.

Thanks Mindy, it was a fun lesson. smile.gif
