If you use grid paper and draw on the grid.. then you have your art on cheap paper.. I want to do mine on Strathmore drawing paper. It there art quality grid paper so you have a nice finished product?

I think if you do not want to lose your photo you print a copy from your PC or make a photocopy and then mark the lines on that.

Do you place the graph paper over the photo as to not destroy photo or make a copy of the photo? I am confused on that one if anyone has an answer I would appreciate it.

I appreciate this site very much and am thrilled I found it. However, it would be nice if the author responded to some of the questions in these comments...such as are you actually drawing lines on the photo itself? That will destroy the photo. I guess you'd have to make sure you have a 'disposable' photo for this.

One thing that I like about the viewfinder is that it helps me stay focus on just one particular area.

Ah! A viewfinder works wonders when you are trying to find a pleasant composition.

Thanks so much for also giving us the example of how to use it with a photo and grid, as well. I never considered using the view finder that way.
